Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Loendur mobile application (the “App”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. The App
Loendur is a local-first counter app used to create counters and record entries (including optional notes and timestamps). The App is designed to work offline and store data on your device.
2. Eligibility
You must comply with applicable laws and the rules of the app store from which you downloaded the App. If you are using the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.
3. Your Content and Responsibility
You are responsible for the counters, entries, notes, and other information you create or import into the App (“Your Data”). You agree not to use the App in a way that violates any law, infringes intellectual property rights, or interferes with others.
4. Data Storage, Backup, Export and Import
- Local storage: Your Data is stored on your device by default.
- Backups: You are responsible for backing up your device and exported files. We cannot restore deleted data.
- Export: The App may let you export data (for example, CSV or JSON). Exported files may contain sensitive information; handle them carefully.
- Import: Imported files may create or modify data in the App. You are responsible for verifying imported data.
5. Hidden Counters and PIN
The App may offer an optional “Hidden Counters” feature that allows you to create PIN-protected counter sets. If you enable this feature, you are solely responsible for choosing and safeguarding your PIN. PIN recovery or reset may not be possible. If you forget your PIN, you may lose access to those hidden counters.
6. In-App Purchases
The App may offer one-time in-app purchases. Purchases are processed by Apple (or the relevant app store) and are subject to their terms. We do not control refunds and cannot directly issue refunds.
7. Privacy
Our handling of information is described in our Privacy Policy. If the App offers optional anonymous analytics, it will be described there as well. You should review the Privacy Policy before using the App.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or bypass security features of the App except where permitted by law.
- Use the App to distribute malware or to interfere with the operation of devices or networks.
- Use the App in a way that could damage, disable, or impair the App or related services.
9. Intellectual Property
The App and its contents (excluding Your Data) are owned by the App developer and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for your own lawful purposes.
10. Disclaimer
The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data loss will never occur.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or revenues, arising from or related to your use of the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the amount you paid for the App (if any) in the twelve months before the event.
12. Changes to the App or Terms
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you materially violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (for example, disclaimers and limitations of liability) will survive.
